Getting Your Home Ready To Sell
CLEAN! CLEAN! Have the carpet shampooed, wash the windows, blinds, drapes, lighting fixtures, etc.
KITCHEN AND BATHROOMS Clean off countertops. Clean stove, microwave and refrigerator. These rooms need to shine! Scrub tubs, showers, sinks, and toilets.
CLOSETS Remove all clutter! Pack it up or get rid of it. Organize closets and cabinets to maximize the space.
FURNITURE The less furniture in a room, the bigger it appears. Declutter all rooms as much as possible.
REPAIRS Repair dripping faucets, sticking doors, etc. If paint looks dull, a fresh coat will brighten appearances.
OUTSIDE Have house washed if mildew is present. Your front door is the first thing that buyers will see - wash and paint if necessary.
YARD Keep lawn mowed, bushes trimmed, and beds weeded.
GARAGE Clean it out now. You'll have to do it sooner or later, and your garage will appear much larger if you do it now!
